You cannot have great SEO and poor branding. Or have everyone republish your press releases and then run away because your site looks sloppy. As for branding people, that is important online and off line as well. You need credible people to build a virtual community and to attract the offline world (therefore you need an expert who's a good speaker for events, tv interviews etc).
